Penny Mudford (Chairman) – A qualified arbitrator and mediator. Managing Director of consulting business specialising in conflict and dispute resolution. Council Member of the Veterinary Council of New Zealand Inc as well as Deputy Presiding Member of the Electrical Workers Registration Board.

Dr Ruth Richards (Public Member) – Currently Public Health Physician, Health Promotion, Regional Public Health for Greater Wellington. Spent three years working for the Ministry of Social Development as a Principal Analyst, and seven years at the Ministry of Health and Health Funding Authority on public health strategic and operational policy and funding. Foundation Fellow of the New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine, and currently chairs College Council Policy Committee. Vocationally registered in public health medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Paul Stanley (Public Member) – Has more than 22 years involvement in Public Health with a great deal of that in the alcohol and drug fields. Has worked at senior management level for several Iwi and Maori organizations and hails from Tainui and Ngai Te Rangi.

Deborah Rundle (Alternate Public Member) –Independent Chairperson of the Discipline and Complaints Committee, The Insurance Brokers Association of New Zealand. Private practice offering dispute resolution and group facilitation. Has been a member of the Insurance and Savings Ombudsman Commission and the Electrical Workers Registration Board, sat as a Disputes Tribunal Referee and worked as a Mediator for the Residential Tenancies Tribunal.

John Macdonald (Industry Member) - Founder and director of Mac2 Management Ltd, a Communications Consultancy principally contracted to Brand World (owner/operator of a number of well known communication vehicles, eg Family Health Diary and others). John has worked in Marketing and advertising for some 40 years in NZ but with stints in the UK, Singapore and Australia. Previously John was President of the Grocery Marketers Association for 3 years (now Food and Grocery Council) and is currently a member of the NZ Marketing Hall of Fame.

Erica Crawford (Industry Member) - started her career as a young scientist in cardiac medicine in her native South Africa, but it was her self taught skills as an exporter and marketer that saw her rise to business prominence in New Zealand. Erica co-founded Kim Crawford Wines thirteen years ago, in a unique deal, the brand and IP was sold after some seven years. Erica remained in the business until April 2009, when she retired from Constellation Wines as Vice President Global Sales and Marketing. Erica is a member of the NZTE Beachheads Advisory Board, is on the judging panel of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and a member of the Investment Committee of the University of Auckland Business School Entrepreneurs Challenge.

Ian McAteer (Alternate Industry Member) – Ian has a wide range of experience in a variety of liquor industry roles, in sales, importing and marketing. He formed his own Agency Importing Company and is consultant in the New Zealand, Australian and Fiji liquor Markets. Past roles include Chairman of the Distilled Spirits Association, CEO of NZ Spirit Merchants Ltd and CEO of the Johnsonville Licensing Trust.
